INFORMATION FOR CLIENTS

Dispensing of drugs and the provision of written prescriptions

Your Veterinary Surgeon may prescribe veterinary medicinal products only for the animals under his/her care and following a clinical assessment of the animal

The general policy of Gillivervet Ltd is to re assess the horse/pony requiring a repeat prescription at least every 6 months but this may vary with individual circumstances.

You may have a consultation at the practice premises or a visit to your yard.

You can obtain the relevant medicinal products from us or have a written prescription so that you may order the drugs from another veterinary practice or pharmacy.

NB a written prescription may not always be appropriate for inpatients or if immediate treatment is necessary

You may ask the price of any drugs. Please ask at reception for further advise of if you would like a copy of this notice.
